A free-to-play version of Disney Speedstorm is launching on PS5 and PS4 in September

Disney Speedstorm has been available for play on both PS5 and PS4 since April of this year, albeit in an early access capacity. Initially, players were required to pay for access to the nearly-complete version of the kart racer. However, this phase of the game's development is drawing to a close. Gameloft, the developer, has officially confirmed that the title will soon transition to a full, free-to-play launch.

On September 28th, 2023, Speedstorm will conclude its early access phase and adopt a free-to-play model. Players who purchased a premium founder's pack to enjoy the early version will, of course, be able to continue playing beyond this date and retain any bonus content they acquired.
